Have you been watching the World Cup? I have. It's made me think about some of the similarities between this game and supply chain. And because of that, I came up with the Top 5 reasons why soccer (football) players make good supply chain managers. You've got the top 5 down, so here's five more to round it out to the top 10:

10: Using your head scores 25% of the time, so you need something smarter 75% of the time.

9: Shortages are like a Penalty Kick...no magic solution to this age old problem as it's usually a no win situation. Just need to avoid this kiss of death.

8: You've got to be fast and nimble like Messi to win. Taking hrs to do a sim won't cut it here.

7: One mistake is all it takes, so stay ALERT!
