Gelu Ticala

Gelu Ticala is Chief Technology Officer at Kinaxis, where he leads the company’s technology and engineering strategy and helps shape the continued evolution of Maestro, Kinaxis’ AI-powered supply chain orchestration platform. 

Gelu joined Kinaxis in 2000 as an analytics software developer and has spent more than two decades helping advance the company’s technology and products. During his tenure, he has held leadership roles across Analytics, Applications, Integration, Quality Assurance and Product Development, giving him a broad and deep understanding of the architecture and technology underpinning Maestro. 

Prior to becoming CTO, Gelu served as Vice President of Product Development, overseeing product architecture, design, development and testing. He also previously led solution performance, working across teams to improve the performance and scalability of Kinaxis technology and customer solutions. 

As CTO, Gelu works closely with Kinaxis’ engineering and product teams to advance the company’s technology roadmap, including its work in AI, advanced optimization and high-performance computing, as Kinaxis continues to expand the scale and complexity of supply chain problems Maestro can solve. 

Gelu holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca and is a certified Scrum Master.
