Kinaxis®, provider of RapidResponse®, delivering cloud-based SCM and S&OP applications, has been named as one of Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers for the second year in a row. First created in 2014 by the editorial team at Canada’s Top 100 Employers, the national award recognizes outstanding private-sector commercial organizations with fewer than 500 employees.
“Small and medium enterprises [SMEs] play a very significant role in Canada’s economy,” says Tony Meehan, Publisher at Mediacorp, which manages the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project. More than 90% of Canadians who work in the private-sector are employed by SMEs, which were responsible for three-quarters of new jobs created in Canada over the past decade. “It’s important for Canadians to learn what the most innovative SME offer and to realize that smaller employers are capable of doing remarkable things for their employees.”
“We’re overjoyed to once again be recognized as one of Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers,” says Megan Paterson, vice president of human resources at Kinaxis. “We work hard to provide our employees with meaningful work, in a fun environment. We believe this is fundamental to higher levels of employee satisfaction no matter an organization’s size.”
This year’s winners are featured in a special magazine published nationally in today’s issue of The Globe and Mail. They will also be recognized at a special awards presentation today at the Toronto Region Board of Trade.
