There’s no wrong way to experience Kinexions. After all, where else can you learn about product releases, make new connections, check in with familiar faces, and attend top-notch sessions about the future of supply chain all in one place?
That’s what makes this event—and Barcelona, our host city—so special. There are countless paths to wander, people to meet, insights to glean, and ways to make the experience completely your own.
If you’ve already got your color-coded agenda, personalized map with all the important spots marked, and your morning run set, great! But if not, here are some suggestions for how to tailor your experience to your Kinexions style.
Choose your Kinexions style: Learner, Connector, Explorer, Recharger
There’s no way to be everywhere all at once. But when you know your conference style, you can focus your energy on the activities that will help you feel like you truly made the most of your time.
We’ve identified a few different Kinexions styles below and picked out a few activities we recommend for an experience that feels like it was tailor-made for you. And keep scrolling for some Barcelona-based activities we think will complement those Kinexions styles.
The Learner: Get smarter, faster, and better

Your goal is to leave smarter than you arrived. You’re already a supply chain pro, but you want to know what’s coming next. You want to know how to drive change, how to make faster decisions that help you move from insight to impact. If this is your style, here are some suggestions for what to prioritize at Kinexions:
- Keynotes: We’re excited for you to hear about:
- The latest Kinaxis innovations from our Chief Product Officer, Andrew Bell
- How we’re making inroads with agentic solutions with our .
- How customers like Castrol, Coca-Cola Al Ahlia Beverages company, and The LEGO Group are solving today’s toughest supply chain challenges.
- The Future of Human Performance in the Age of AI with Dr. James Hewitt.
- Customer training: These sessions will cover the fundamentals of Maestro, Maestro Agent Studio, Authoring, and Demand Forecasting so you can make sure you and your team members have the right foundation for all your supply chain planning and orchestration needs.
- Breakout sessions and product deep dives: Get into the nuts and bolts of turning supply chain decisions into outcomes, including deep dives into advanced inventory optimization, orchestrating supply chain workflows with Maestro agents, AI and composable architecture, and more. Check out the official agenda for more.
The Connector: Grow your network

Your favorite insights always come from conversations that happen outside the session rooms. You’re there for the people, the networking, the little asides and serendipitous moments that only happen at an in-person event. If this is your style, you’ll love:
- Industry forums: Monday, 26 October. Whether you’re in life sciences, consumer products, or automotive and industry OEM, connect with the supply chain peers who know exactly what you’re going through.
- The welcome reception: Monday, 26 October at 19:00. Meet new people, reconnect with old friends, find people who will actually laugh at your supply chain jokes.
- Community Celebration: Tuesday, 27 October at 19:00. Keep the connections going into the evening!
- Peer conversations: Take advantage of the coffee and networking breaks to chat with peers between sessions or use the event app to book intentional meetings. Either way, you can’t go wrong!
The Explorer: Discover all that’s new

You like discovering unexpected ideas. Too much planning bores you. You want to discover new perspectives, not stay in your lane. You’re there to expand your mind and network, not stick to business as usual. If this is your style, we think you’ll love:
- Sessions outside your industry: Soak in as much as you can—the keynotes, the breakouts that capture your attention, even if they aren’t directly relevant to your specific industry. This is about breaking out of siloed thinking.
- New technologies: If you want to learn all about new technologies and advancements in existing ones, make sure to attend the innovation keynote, take in the product demos, and peruse the expo hall.
- Meeting new people: Attend the networking events, linger after the breakout sessions, or consider joining the Kinaxis Experience Group!
The Recharger: Engage without overextending

You see the value in events, and you’re looking forward to Kinexions! But your energy has its limits. You want to find a way to leave without feeling completely drained so you can keep the momentum going when you return home. If this is your conference type, here’s what we recommend:
- Plan out your sessions in advance: Use the conference app to explore topics, speakers, and mark the ones you think will be most important.
- Focus on smaller conversations: Some of the best moments are often the ones in between sessions, when you’re grabbing a coffee in one of the breaks, or walking to dinner. Smaller, discussion-oriented sessions might also be a good fit for you.
- Leave space for reflection between activities: Grab a coffee, step outside for a moment, or find one of the conference quiet spaces to take a moment for yourself.
The overlooked yet essential parts of the Kinexions experience

Sometimes the most memorable parts of an event aren’t necessarily what happens on stage. They’re the conversations you have while getting coffee, the chats with a new connection while you walk to dinner, or the way you feel seen when a peer says the exact thing that’s been on your mind since that last breakout session.
How Barcelona can amplify those moments
Our host city is diverse, full of life, and has so much to offer. If you have a free hour, an afternoon, an evening, or if you’ve tacked on an extra day or so, here are some ways you can amplify your Kinexions experience with some off-the-beaten path corners of the city based on your Kinexions style.

The Learner: Explore museums and architectural wonders
Want to expand your learning experience beyond Kinexions? Step out of the hotel and into the city to discover:
- FC Barcelona Museum: A short walk from the conference hotel, this museum explores the storied football club’s past, present, and future in an interactive space.
- Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau: This UNESCO World Heritage site is one of the most prominent works of the Catalan Modernist architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner.
- Casa Vicens: For those who want to see Gaudí’s earlier work. Casa Vicens is typically a bit quieter than Casa Batlló or La Pedrera and often a favorite Gaudí site of architecture enthusiasts.
The Connector: Venture out for the people watching
If you have a spare moment after the sessions and want to get out into the city (or better yet, explore with some of your new connections), you might want to explore the following:
- Gràcia: Set in the foothills of the Collserola mountain range, this neighborhood is known for its bohemian vibe and creative culture.
- El Born: Another charming neighborhood known for medieval streets, ancient palaces, great museums, independent shops, and gorgeous terraces.
- Neighborhood cafés and plazas: Grab a table outside, order a bite or a beverage, and relax and enjoy watching the neighborhood come to life around you.

The Explorer: Get lost (in a good way)
If you’re arriving early, staying late, or just happen to have a free evening, Barcelona has so many exciting things to discover. Here are a few areas that might satisfy the hankering for exploration outside the conference venue:
- Mercat de Santa Caterina: A historic market in the Sant Pere neighborhood. Under its iconic tiled, undulating roof, find fruit and vegetable sellers, restaurants, and even a museum.
- Poblenou: A formerly industrial neighborhood now known for art, a gorgeous park, and access to the beach.
- Sarrià: Once an independent village and annexed in 1921, it’s now a charming, upscale neighborhood that feels like a barrio within a barrio tucked away from heavy tourist crowds.
The Recharger: Find the green spaces
Step away from the crowds and find your moments of peace. Here are a few options for when you want some quiet time:
- Jardins de Pedralbes: Just a seven-minute walk from the hotel, you can stroll along tree-lined paths, through English- and French-style gardens, and have a moment to refresh and recharge.
- Mirador dels Xiprers: A lovely viewpoint above the city that feels far removed from urban Barcelona. Best if you arrive a day early rather than squeezing it between conference sessions.
- Biblioteca de Catalunya and Jardins de Rubió i Lluch: A hidden courtyard tucked inside the old city. Most visitors walk right past it. Great for readers, writers, and anyone looking for a quiet corner with centuries of history.
Can't wait to see you at Kinexions!
The most successful Kinexions attendees focus on the experiences that matter most to them and plan everything else around that. A product deep dive, a conversation with a peer who’s stuck in the same challenge, or an early morning walk through the city to refresh your focus before the sessions begin are all worthwhile.
Barcelona is ready. Kinexions EMEA is waiting. How you spend your time is up to you.
