At Kinexions 2026, Andrew Bell, Chief Product Officer at Kinaxis, officially announced the Kinexions Maestro Remix Agent Hackathon, or simply “Remix”, a new customer and partner program designed to turn AI from something we demonstrate into something our Kinaxis community can actively build.
And honestly, I couldn’t be more excited about it.
The conversation around enterprise AI is changing
One of the biggest shifts happening in enterprise software right now is that customers are no longer limited to consuming packaged functionality. With Maestro Agent Studio, they have the ability to create their own intelligent experiences directly within Maestro.
That changes the conversation completely.
Instead of asking, “What AI features are available?” Customers can start asking, “What can we build?”
Remix is designed to answer that question.
Over a focused three-week build period, participating teams will design and develop AI agents using Maestro Agent Studio, with support from Kinaxis mentors along the way. The goal is not to create polished enterprise products in a few weeks. The goal is to experiment, innovate, solve real problems, and explore what’s possible when you are empowered to build directly on the platform.
Remix is more than a hackathon. It reflects a broader shift toward customer-built innovation.
Where operational experience becomes innovation
What excites me most is the creativity this will unlock.
Every organization operates differently. Every planner faces different challenges. Some teams may focus on automating repetitive workflows. Others may create agents that surface insights faster, simplify decision- making, or improve collaboration across teams.
The common thread is that these ideas are rooted in real operational experience. The most valuable ideas often come from the people closest to the work itself.
And we want this experience to feel accessible.
Teams do not need to be AI experts or professional developers to participate. This hackathon is intentionally structured to be approachable, guided, and achievable. Participants will receive onboarding, training, and ongoing support from Kinaxis mentors throughout the program.
Having said that, teams will get the most out of Remix if they have:
- Authoring experience
- Experience designing workflows
- Clearly defined business problem or use case
- Willingness to engage with mentors and iterate quickly
The focus is on building something meaningful and learning through the process.
Beyond the competition
As someone who spends a lot of time playing board games, I know that no great competition is complete without a winner.
The reality is that everyone who participates in Remix wins in some way. Teams will gain hands-on experience with Agent Studio, learn how to build AI agents in a practical environment, and walk away with new ideas and capabilities they can bring back to their organizations.
But in the end, there will still be one winning team.
If you’ve been looking for an opportunity to explore AI in a practical, hands-on way and build something real with Maestro, this is your chance!.
Spaces are limited and registration is only open until June 12th, so sign up now at kinaxis.com/remix.
