Gating material and capacity constraint identification
Compare the current demand requirements against the previous MPS in order to identify the gaps. Be presented with a series of resolution options that can be tested and compared to determine the best course of action.   

Multi-scenario simulation/collaboration and consequence evaluation
Perform multiple and collaborative scenario simulations to resolve imbalances between the master schedule and current demand requirements, for example, inventory transfers, alternate sources of supply, item substitution, or expediting.
